Emerald Isle, NC

Sometimes, I struggle when trying to think of how I can write a blog post, but really all I have is some awesome pictures to share. Then I realized, this is my blog, my platform, my personal online diary of some sorts and if I want to share some awesome pictures from an awesome vacation I had I can do just that. That's what I'm doing to day. There's now how-to, tips and advice, fashion or beauty story that goes with this. We had a family vacation in August of this year to Emerald Isle, North Carolina for my cousins' wedding and it was a ton of fun! We even had some professional family pictures taken by Zamora Photography (my old boss) and they came out amazing. So that's it, just sharing a great memory and great pictures with you all today! It was a really fun and relaxing vacation. Looking through these pictures just get me more excited for Thanksgiving this year!!

Favorite Fall Fashion
Fall, fall, fall. There a reoccurring theme here, but if you're anything like me you aren't hating it. It's time to pull out those comfy sweaters and leggings that have been tucked away in the closet because today I'm sharing all of my favorite fall fashion trends.
Hello Happy Foundation Review

It takes a lot for me to switch foundations. Once I find a products that works well with my skin, I can be pretty set in my ways. However, I have gone back and fourth with Too Faced and Benefit products for a while now and when I heard the amazing review for the Hello Happy foundation, I knew I wanted to get my hands on it.
October Favorites

October has flown by, but even though Halloween is over that means Thanksgiving is up next! The fall time is the best time because it's a time to start new, try out new products, watch some new television shows and it's socially acceptable to wear chunky sweaters and stay inside with your dog. These next few months I'm sure I'll have a lot of new favorite items to share with you and here are my favorites from October.
Easy Halloween Treat

This will be my last Halloween post for the year, but I wanted to share a super fun and easy Halloween treat that can be made. Truth be told, you can make this any time of the year, but Halloween gives you the reason to make it a little bit more spooky. This is the treat that I made for our Halloween party and it's always a favorite. Now I'm sharing with you the recipe so you can make it yourself!
Favorite Halloween Costumes For Dogs
Dressing up your pet for Halloween can be a ton of fun and I love seeing how creative and extravagant these outfits get each year. Maybe it's because I keep seeing Amazon ads on these hilarious dog costumes and I just had to share some of my favorites. You pup owners out there need to know that these things exist!!
How To Throw An Epic Halloween Party

This blog post should come as no surprise to those who follow me on social media. This past weekend my friends and I had probably one of the most fun parties that has ever been thrown together in our group. To be honest, I have to give my two besties, Gabe & Rocio, a lot of props for this one. Planning a party can be a lot of work, especially with how big our friend group is. There's a lot of moving parts, but I think they handled it (almost) perfectly.
Fall Clothing Haul With Gabriel Brother's
I can't believe what I'm actually about to write.. but this post is sponsored by Gabe's. That's right ladies and gentlemen I am working with Gabe's to show off some of the best fall pieces in stores right now! After I shared my last visit to the Gabe's that opened up in my hometown they reached out to me to work together. Ya'll know I love me some Gabe's so I had to jump at the chance.

Happy Fall Ya'll! I know how basic I sound when I say this, but I love the fall time! Especially in Virginia, it's always so pretty. I have a lot of fun plans coming up and fun blog posts to share with you the next few weeks, but for now I wanted to share another round of Links I Love! There are some really good ones on here this week. Feel free to comment down below any fun links you've found too.
Recipe Blog Post
Today I'm recapping all of my blog posts where I share different recipes with you all! My How-To Blog Posts post got a lot of hits so I decided to keep going with these recaps. I'm glad you all are liking these and if you ever want to see all of the blog post you can scroll to the right side and look for the "ARCHIVES" drop down menu. These post will range from recipes that I found on Pinterest to my collab with Blue Apron. If you want to see any other recipes on the blog remember to comment down below.
How I Planned Our Trip To Disney
Orlando, Florida can be such a fun place. There are beaches, unique shops and of course Disney. I’ve been to Disney a few times in my life, but the last time I went was a few years ago with my friends. Even though the last trip was so much fun it was very poorly planned. To give you some background we decided to go to Universal Studios around noon on a Saturday…. Yeah, didn’t work out that great. You can definitely do Orlando on a budget and make your money last you the whole week. I wanted to share some tips and tricks on how I planned our Disney trip this year. To see pictures and adventures from our Orlando trip you can view that blog by clicking here.
She In Haul
I have been a huge fan of She Inside for a while now, but I've never really bought a huge haul before. Until now that is and let me tell you- I am not disappointed. I wanted to share everything that I purchased in this latest haul and I got all of this for under $150! The reason I love She In is because not only is everything really cheap, but they offer free shipping and ALWAYS have coupons and deals that you can apply to your cart. I listed everything I bought down below along with the sizing to give you a reference because it's European sizes, I really had to read the details carefully to make sure I got the best sizes possible.
Designer Dupes On Amazon
I am a lover of boujee things, but the price for some items are just insane. I have always been a fan of high end "dupes" and with the internet there can tend to be a lot of scams. I never noticed though that Amazon has a ton of dupes! What's better than getting a dupe? Getting a dupe with two-day prime delivery! Here are some of my favorite dupes on Amazon.
Gabriel Brother's Haul
I must admit, I'm a little mad that a Gabe's opened up in my hometown. For the longest time Gabe's was just a store that my family and I would hit whenever we visited our family in Pennsylvania. I used to love getting all of my school clothes, soccer gear and shoes from Gabe's and having people ask where it's from and the looks on their faces as I tell them. They had no idea what that was and it was awesome. It was like my hidden gem. Now there's one open ten minutes from my parent's house. Of course this is awesome because well it's right up the road.. but the petty 12 year old tween in me is a little mad about it. None the less, I will definitely be shopping at Gabe's a lot more now.

How-To Blog Post
I want to keep this blog post simple and list all of the "how-to" blog posts that I have ever shared. There are so many different experiences that I go through and I want to share how I went through it or what I learned from the experience. Some of these are school related, life related and everything in between. Plus, it's fun to look through some of the older blog post I've written and see how much I've grown. I hope you enjoy this type of post and maybe it'll be a feature from now on! Let me know down below if you like it.
How I Organize My Agenda

Ever since I posted my 'How to Balance Work and Social Life' blog post and linked the agenda that I am currently using, I got a lot of follow up questions asking how I organize my agenda.  I have been using an agenda for as long as I can remember and it really does come in handy.  Especially when you're balancing multiple things at the same time.  Welcome to adulthood.  I used it more frequently when I was in school, because I was checking what assignments were due everyday, but now that I'm a college graduate, my agenda is mostly dedicated to work, appointments, and my blog.
Livin' In Levis
I've mentioned these jeans in a few post now but I can't stop talking about them. I can't believe that I found a pair of Levi jeans IN the Levi store for only $15. Call it luck, but it is rare that I find a pair of jeans that fit me so perfectly. Let alone a name brand on clearance then an additional 50% off on top of that. New York is just always so good to me when I visit, what can I say?
August Favorites
How is it already the end of August? I swear I was just in D.C. celebrating New Years with my girls and now I'm planning out fall blog post. It's just crazy how fast time goes by. I wanted to share with y'all some of my favorite items from this month though. I have just bought/tried/or seen some really unique things and I wanted to share them all with you in one simple post! Enjoy!
Sand Cloud Towels Labor Day Sale
I wanted to share with you all about the sale that Sand Cloud Towels is having for Labor Day! This is an amazing BOGO sale that their having this weekend. I love Sand Cloud because 10% of the sales go towards saving Marine Wildlife. They were one of the first companies I worked with when starting my blog. I love the message that they send and anything to help the animals I am all about.
Next Time I Visit Orlando, FL
I am always seeing cool restaurants, shopping centers or even locations that look great for pictures but it's usually in a different city. It's these hidden little gems that you really have to take am minute to look for when you visit somewhere. So, whenever I start to plan a trip I like to sit down and list out places that I want to visit. I'll take screen shots of them on Instagram or Facebook then I'll map out how far away it is from where I'm staying. I visited Orlando a while ago and though it was so much fun, I realized how much more there was to do and how little time we had to do it. I think if I definitely planned out a trip I could not only visit all 4 Disney parks and Universal Studios, but I could hit a lot of other cool places as well. Here's the places that I want to visit the next time I'm in Orlando.
Links I Love

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, but I thought it was the perfect time to share some fun links with all of you. Especially since I have been traveling a lot lately I have been saving some fun articles. Now that I’m back and getting into the swing of things, I’m already starting to plan my next trip. Any idea where I’m headed to next?
2 Easy Picture Frame DIY's
I love collecting tickets and passes to events that I attend and I love my polaroid camera, but these two things are small and can quickly become messy or disorganized and then it gets thrown into a box. I wanted to be able to show off these small pieces of paper in a nice way in the apartment and the answer to both of these DIY's is picture frames.
My Favorite Petite Sized Jumpsuit
Standing tall at 4'11 I know how hard it can be to find a one-piece outfit that fits you well. Sometimes the top fits but the bottoms don't and visa-versa. One of those type of outfits are jumpsuits. I have always wanted to try out a jumpsuit, but 9/10 they are always waaaaay too long at the bottom. Of course, I can get something tailored, but wouldn't it just be nice if I could find one that just ... fits? Is that really too much to ask for?
Beauty Products I’m Loving Right Now
I am constantly changing up my beauty and skincare products. There are so many products out there and each one sounds better than the last. However, I have found some amazing new products that I wanted to share with you all today! All of these products are products that I’ve recently started using in the past month or so and I absolutely love them. I have noticed great results ever since using these products and simply have nothing bad to say about any of them. If you pick up any of these products let me know by commenting down below.
Museum of Ice Cream Pop-Up Shop
When I visited New York a couple weeks ago I decided I want to do my first ever photo shoot! I have always taken photos with my friends and family, but I've never actually paid a professional photographer to take pictures. I connected with Lexi, whose work has actually been featured in Teen Vogue and USA Today. We decided to stop by the Museum of Ice Cream Pop-Up Shop called The Pint Shop. It's basically a condensed version of the museum with total picture worthy booths and colored walls. The shop itself is free and you can obviously do some shopping (which I totally did). Keep an eye out for MOIC products in Target this summer!
Mario Badescu Skincare Is A Game Changer

As a blogger I like to test out a lot of different beauty products, but something that I very rarely share are skincare products. I have battled with acne my entire life and though as I’ve gotten older it’s gotten much better, I still tend to have breakouts now and then. Except, I don’t get the normal “pimple” that shows up and goes away in a couple days. In fact, I don’t really get pimples at all. I have cystic acne which is a skin condition that causes oil and skin to clog up under the skin but never turns into a pimple. It’s extremely painful and can sometimes get really bad. For the most part though, I get tiny bumps versus some of the large red ones, but even the little ones drive me crazy. I take my skincare routine very seriously, but I never found anything that really got rid of these “tiny bumps.”
What I Wore: Pittsburgh, PA
I had such a good time in Pittsburgh. I was in Pittsburgh for the LMDC Tour because they sold out of the VIP seats in D.C. so quickly, so my friends Krysta and I jumped to the nearest city to purchase tickets. To hear about the tour and the process of how we got VIP tickets you can view this blog post here. To see all of the things we did, where we ate and what we saw in Pittsburgh you can view that blog post right here. To see what I wore that weekend, keep scrolling down below!
Pittsburgh, PA
I started off the summer with a road trip to Pittsburgh, PA with my good friend Krysta. We went there to see Lea Michele and Darren Criss in concert, but we made a fun weekend out of it! We visited some really unique places and ate some INCREDIBLE food. Pittsburgh is pretty close (less than 4 hours) and I'm happy we made a weekend trip out of it.  I'm sharing everything we saw, ate, and did on this trip!
LMDC Tour
Just last month I went to the most life-changing concert of my life. I saw Lea Michele and Darren Criss live! My friend Krysta and I got VIP tickets where we got to meet them and sit in the front row to watch them. I am seriously still in awe of how perfect these two human beings are. Lea Michele is my idol and the minute I was notified she was going on tour I jumped at the chance to buy VIP tickets. Seriously, her music and her VOICE... so inspiring. I am so happy I spent every penny on meeting these two and seeing them perform. Their voices are so angelic and moving. If you plan on going to a concert, I suggest you go see them.
The City That Never Sleeps
I honestly never get tired of writing New York blog posts. It's my favorite place in this whole world and I never have the same trip twice. There's so much to do and I swear it gets more fun the more times I visit. This time I visited with my mom and though she was going for business, I went just for fun. I spent a lot of my time on my own during the day exploring and I must say, I really liked it. I usually hate doing thing by myself, but when I'm in the city it's invigorating to be on my own. Here's everything I did during my NYC visit.
Teeth Whitening for Sensitive Teeth
Friday is my favorite day of the week. It’s a day where I get to unwind from the crazy week and just relax. I love a good at-home spa treatment and my Friday's usually consist of multiple face masks, hair mask, and all things beauty! Something that I have been incorporating into my beauty routines has been my Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening Kit.
Target Haul
Whenever I need to pick up a few things I tend to go to Target because I know I can get a variety of items all in one please. However, I also tend to get way more than I originally had planned. Target man, it’ll get you every time. I have also been receiving a lot of compliments lately on some of these new items and every time I tell people it’s from Target, they’re a little shocked. Some of these were picked up months ago, while others were literally bought last weekend. None the less, here is my recent Target haul.
Summer Must-Haves
Is it just me or have all of this year’s summer collections coming out look so cute lately? I’ve seen some amazing swimsuits, sandals, and even beach accessories launching recently and I am all about it. I’m going to share some of my favorite must-haves for this summer from some of my favorite stores!
Weird Things I Do In Public
As a blogger, I tend to think a little differently from other people. I definitely do some things that seem odd in public, but are totally normal to me. I’m pretty sure just about any creative person who has a platform such as a blog or YouTube can relate to this. Here are a few things I do in public.
This blog post is going to be short and sweet because I'm just going to share with you the awesome pictures that my family and I had taken a few weeks ago. As you know, I'm from the D.C. area which means I am a die-hard Washington fan on all levels. Redskins, Wizards, and of course the Washington Capitals. The Caps FINALLY won a Stanley Cup and I couldn't be more proud to be a D.C. fan. My family and I were invited to a private event where we were able to see, touch and take pictures with the Stanley Cup. It was an awesome two minutes and I'm glad to have pictures to prove it happened! The D.C. curse has been broken!
Wish List Pinterest Board
I know everyone has a Pinterest board called “Wish List” and I am no exception. I am constantly adding things to this board of random items that I like or want to buy to this board. It’s literally just a collection of the most RANDOM things, but come Christmas time when my friends and family are asking me for ideas of what I want, I can just refer them to this Pinterestboard. Seriuosly, I keep some really bizzare things on here that range from beauty to dog toys to a random home décor piece. I’ll just save things while shopping online. Here are some items that are on my “Wish List” Pinterest board!
How To Detox Your Life
It’s so important to take a day or two to refresh and clear your mind. We can so easily get caught up being on the go, go, go but we never take time to just stop. Even when we go on vacation, we’re constantly thinking about what we’re doing, where we’re going, and the best picture to post online. I love to getaway to the lake and take a weekend to disconnect from the buzz back home and simply relax.

Whenever I’m feeling a bit tightly wound and need a breather I like to escape to the lake. It’s the most peaceful area where I get to go on the boat, go in the water, and make s’mores by the fireplace. It’s also the worst place to cell phone reception so it’s very easy to LITERALLY disconnect from the Internet and social media.

We are always doing things at the lake, but it’s a relaxing type of “doing things.” We start out morning with a hot cup of coffee and sit outside looking at the sun through the trees and the birds chirping above us. It’s honestly the most relaxing mornings. Then we’ll start packing food for the boat while the boys get the boat ready. After the boat is ready everyone loads up and hits the water. I LOVE BOAT RIDES! So does Oliver, he will just sit there and let the water hit his face. He gets very confused though when it’s my turn to drive the boat because he doesn’t understand why I’m not sitting next to him. After we spend all day on the boat getting a sun tan and jumping off the rope swing we’ll head back to the lake house. This is the unwinding part of the day, because even though you’re just tanning on a boat all day you’re in the sun and that can take a lot out of you. After taking a much needed shower I love to relax and put a facemask on and curl up with a good book while my mom starts dinner. This unwinding part is so important because it allows you to not only catch up on your beauty routine but also forces you to pick up a book instead of going online.

After we eat dinner we will usually goof around on the golf cart or walk the dogs. I love how quite and peaceful the lake is. It makes for the perfect getaway weekend. Aside from finding the perfect place to getaway too, it’s important to really try to put your phone away. Leave your phone behind when you go for a walk or a boat ride. Make sure to really disconnect from it, because it’s so healthy to take a break from technology now and then. It’s also important to refocus on your beauty routine. I know we tend to skip a step or two but this is the time where you don’t need to focus on anything else but yourself. If you need to get a workout in or do some stretches this is the perfect time to do so.
Refocus on physical activities versus the computer screen. I tend to write a lot at work and in my personal time, but when is the last time I actually wrote with pen and paper versus on a Word document? I love to take out a notebook and jot down ideas I have for my blog. Maybe drawing or sketching is your thing. Head outside and sit in the sun while we do this. Get some fresh air and just take a deep breath. It doesn’t matter what you’re doing as long as it’s relaxing for you. Reading, writing, drawing, or even doing some yoga in the fresh air can help you to calm down and detox.
Even though I may not be checking my Instagram every two seconds, doesn’t mean I’ve stopped my creative juices from flowing. I love to break out my camera and take some really nice photos. Especially since the lake is such a beautiful and unique location. I also like to fine tune some of my skills so for this weekend the “study” book I packed was a Photoshop and Lightroom guide. So after the photoshoot I was able to take some of the photos we took from that day and I worked on some new things in Photoshop and Lightroom while dinner was being made. I gave myself a time frame though so I wasn’t working on it all night long as I typically do.

Finally, my last suggestion is to get a good night’s rest. I am an advent sleeping pill taker. My body just doesn’t function like a normal person’s when it’s tired. I could be exhausted and still not fall asleep because my insides are still wired. It’s honestly very refreshing when I can drift off to sleep without any medicine and I always get a good night’s sleep at the lake.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation + Concealer Review
I have never had the best of luck when it comes to trying out new foundations.  Every time I think I like a new foundation it only works a handful of times on me then tends to be a disappointment.  That was until I picked up the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and Concealer and the game changed.  This is hands down the best foundation and concealer duo I have ever used and is my new must-have beauty products.

The one thing I love the most about the foundation and concealer is that it doesn't clump up.  It stays right where I put it all day long.  Usually I have issues where products dry up around acne or pores, but these products don't do that at all.  Sure, throughout the day I'll have some natural oils appear, but those can be corrected with setting powder or oil blotting sheets.  It's not the foundation making it worse though, it's just my skin.  I love when I can see that at the end of my day, my foundation still looks flawless and in tact.

I also love how perfect the color is.  I've used this product through the summer and winter now and I haven't had to mix it with anything.  It's the undertone of the foundation that helps to match it to my skin color perfectly.  I also really love the matte finishing of these products.  I have combination skin and a moisturizing and dewy finished foundation and concealer just don't work well with my skin.  Not to mention, I haven't had any breakouts using this product!

Now, some of the basics.  This foundation is a medium to full coverage, meaning you probably only need a dot and a half to cover your whole face.  It's oil-free, which again is great for people with oily or combination skin.  It doesn't dry the skin out either, so you can use a face lotion or primer underneath it.  However, you don't really need it, because the foundation has coconut water infused into it.  "This oil-free foundation masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin for coverage so undetectable and skin so naturally radiant, they'll think you were Born This Way."  The Born This Way Concealer helps to brighten and boost the skin's radiance and it's also oil-free!  It's a buildable coverage, so a little goes along way, but if you need more you can easily apply it.  It blends nicely to the skin and it's the perfect finishing touch on your everyday look.  "An oil-free, buildable, hydrating concealer that provides undetectable coverage and helps to hide the appearance of dark circles, lines and wrinkles."

I am OBSESSED  with this duo and you will be too.  I would definitely suggest getting the sample version of anything before buying a full bottle, but I promise you won't be disappointed.
