Favorite Finds On Amazon: Home Essentials
Ah, Amazon. The best invention since sliced bread. You can literally get anything you want or need off Amazon. Most importantly, you can get anything you don't need off of Amazon too! If you’re an Amazonaholic like I am, then you will appreciate these next few posts coming out. I will be breaking down my favorite finds on Amazon including beauty, fashion, pets, home décor, and so much more! Leave me a comment down below if these are some of your fave finds as well.

Comfy, Yet Chic
Something I love most about New York City is everyone's fashion taste. Everyone has their own unique style and they sure know how to rock it. I wanted to be comfy, yet chic so I went shopping before last weekend. Here are some of the things that I picked up!

In The City
New York is my favorite place in the whole world and since I was turning the big 2-5 this year I wanted to spend it in my favorite place with some of my favorite people. Rocio and I decided to head to NYC for a fun-filled weekend in the city for our birthday this year and I'm so glad we did!

Our first day there we decided to hit some of the tourist spots since Gabe had never been there before. We first went to eat at this place called The Nugget Spot, but don't worry they had vegetarian options for me! Then we walked around to some cool comic book and collectible shops. We went to the 9/11 Memorial where I also saw my favorite building, the One World Trade Center. We also walked around Wall Street and ended our night in Time Square. Once we got back we waited for Andres and Danya before we hit a night out on the town. I had actually never been to a bar/club in New York so it was definitely an experience (complete with a fight in a pizza shop).

The next day we got the most luxurious donuts from The Doughnut Project. After visiting the Flatiron Building and strolling through a farmer's market, we went to Chinatown and SoHo. We had some bomb tacos at Tacombi Taqueria and did some hardcore shopping. We ended the day with getting ice cream at the famous Taiyaki and let me tell you... the ice cream was incredible! Then the group separated because Omar and I went to watch a live production/movie combo of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It was definitely a unique experience but the production overall was a 5/10. I wasn't too impressed with the production part, but I'm still glad I went. I can cross it off my bucket list.

On Sunday we all went to brunch at Serenata's and it was so good that I would go back to NYC just for a day to eat their good. Plus, they had bottomless mimosas for $10....so yeah, we got our monies worth. After we finished packing and cleaning up the Airbnb we rented (which was an incredible loft in Midtown- use my link for $40 off your first trip of $75+), we went to the Brooklyn Bridge. This was a cool experience because even I had never actually been to the Brooklyn Bridge. It was cold, rainy, and so much fun.

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, finding the right outfit can be tough. If you know your style and the right dress size then you can easily find one, or two, online! I've linked a handful of ones that fit the perfect Valentine's Day theme!

Oliver's 2nd Birthday
Last weekend was mine and Oliver's birthday! Most importantly, it was Oliver's 2nd birthday. He's a teenager now. I had so much fun throwing a little puppy party last year, I had to do it again this year. Luckily, when Omar and I were in Philly we found this dog cake mix which made making Oliver's doggy cake/cupcakes a whole lot easier than last year. I also took Oliver to daycare on Saturday and I could watch him on the webcam, it was ADORABLE. Plus, he got groomed and looked so dapper when I picked him up. Oliver and Smokey were both good sports as they wore party hats and let me take pictures of them.
